Sue McCreadie - principal consultant

sue mccreadieSue has held high level positions in state and federal government and professional associations in the screen and creative industries over the past two decades and has extensive experience in screen finance and in managing policy, communications and research.

Her tenacious advocacy, working inside and outside government, has secured significant changes to policy settings and funding. She has shaped and overseen large-scale film and digital funding programs such as the NSW government's post digital & visual effects rebate, the digital games rebate, the $20m one off fund for international production and the Interactive Media Fund, which she initiated and developed.

She brings an in depth working knowledge of government funding and regulation, marketplace finance, industrial agreements, and the political and policy environment.

She has written policy submissions on just about everything that matters to the creative industries from film and arts funding to tax concessions, australian content, copyright and the digital economy. She has also published extensively on music, film, industry policy and politics.

Government roles include Development & Production Executive for Screen NSW,  Senior Manager Film & Creative Industries for NSW Trade & Investment and Policy Manager for the NSW Film & Television Office and the Film Finance Corporation. Industry roles include Director of Actors' Equity and Executive Director of the Australian Writers' Guild.

A graduate of the London School of Economics and the University of Sydney, she has qualifications in economics, political science, journalism and musicology.  Full profile: LinkedIn
